Women’s Night Safety Charter Summit 2024

On Thursday 29 February, as part of the continuing partnership between Safer Business Network and the Mayor of London, we were able to deliver the first Women's Night Safety Summit of 2024.

A big thank you for the generosity of our headline sponsors for the summit imabi.

Thank you to The Hurlingham Club for providing the beautiful space for us to gather and hear from a rage of insightful speakers including White Ribbon and Claire Waxman, London's Victims Commissioner and our inspirational panelists.
Sam Mathys from Hackney Council shared the best practice work of their successful #Dontcrosstheline campaign.
It was fantastic to see so many people attend from different businesses, organisations and industry sectors.

Both panels were a huge success, firstly hearing from a few of the Premiership London football clubs Brentford Football Club Fulham Football Club Tottenham Hotspur Football Club on the work they have been doing since signing to the Charter as well as the important roles they play in local communities. The second panel we heard about the younger voices in the conversation hearing about the work of the toolkit and training deployed across London schools and the young persons action group at the Violence Reduction Unit, creating generally open and honest conversations.

An additional thanks to be given for our exhibitors on the day, Asel, Peoplesafe British Transport Police and WalkSafe

We cannot wait for the next summit on 03 October 2024, and hope to see you there!!
