Tackling Violence Against Women and Girls

Our towns and cities should be safe places, but the reality is that too many women still feel unsafe when travelling, working or socialising during the day and at night.

Being trained in WAVE and Ask for Angela, along with being a recognised Safe Haven are all practical ways for businesses to let their community know that a variety of support options are available if they ever need help.

Recognising this The Home Secretary recently allocated £50 million to improve safety in communities throughout England and Wales. The funding will be distributed to police forces, local authorities, and eligible community groups to combat violence against women and girls (VAWG), neighbourhood crime, and anti-social behaviour through the Safer Streets 5 scheme.

Our Welfare and Vulnerability Charter makes it possible for these groups to implement support options that can help women feel safe in the community.

With over 14,500 champions trained in WAVE and Ask for Angela, we have the experience to help you create, deliver and support these important safety projects.

Let us work together to ensure our towns and city centres remains a successful and vibrant hub.
