Safer Business Network (SBN) was recognised as an example of best practice due to our work with our Night Time Economy (NTE) businesses across all of our operating boroughs.
The report found 'local partnerships were best placed to develop sustainable solutions. However, not all parts of London have successful partnerships in place to coordinate resources at night'. Safer Business Network was highlighted as a positive example of local partnerships that were able to develop sustainable solutions through our BCRP across four London boroughs (Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark and Westminster). The report called for SBN and BCRP's to be supported to roll out more schemes.
Hannah Wadey, CEO of Safer Business Network stated:
''It has been a privilege to work with my fellow commissioners, from across London, on the ground-breaking Night Time Commission report. I am delighted partnerships such as Safer Business Network are highlighted as good practice in promoting safe and flourishing town centres.
We look forward to working with the Mayor's office, London's Night Czar and our local business communities to implement its recommendations. We are proud to have been recognised by the Night-Time Commission report as an example of best practice, and this will encourage us to do more for the NTE across all our operating boroughs''
